Newspaper Publication Workflow
I worked with the English department's veteran journalist to build tools that would help students re-invent their school newspaper. After designing a digital template for the paper and teaching a crash course in desktop publishing, I built a web application to manage the staff's workflow. A complete revision history of every document is kept as articles are submitted by reporters, reviewed by editorial staff and handed off to the layout team for production.
Automated Scheduling
Molloy boasts a large and highly successful alumni base, some of whom visit anually to speak about their workplace experience. Students originally signed up for these career sessions with pencil and paper. I worked with the President and Technology Coordinator to build a web-based system that accepts students' preferences and automates scheduling.
Custom WordPress Theme
The Office of Advancement stays in touch with thousands of alumni through "The Beehive". I took the President's design for this blog and transformed it into a custom WordPress theme.
Hall of Fame Kiosk
The northeast wing of the school building features and impressive Hall of Fame display, complete with a digital kiosk. I developed a web application showcasing the inductees' biographies, with an XHTML, CSS and JavaScript front-end specially designed for use on the kiosk's touch-screen display.
